I am Tuula Malo, a dance artist, choreographer and dance educator. Dance has been part of my life for more than half of it, shaping both my artistic path and the way I see the world. My journey began as a passionate dance student and has evolved through performing, teaching and creating choreography into a lifelong commitment to movement as an art form.

My background combines studies in sports and exercise management at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with specialised studies in dance pedagogy at the University of Jyväskylä.

As a performer and choreographer, I have worked in theatres, stage productions and dance projects, while also creating choreography for competition teams and duos. My own background as a competitive dancer includes several Finnish Championship titles in street dance and performing arts formations, as well as a World Championship semi-final placement.

Throughout my career, I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds. In recent years, my work has focused particularly on dance for older adults, while continuing to develop choreography, community dance and new artistic projects. My experience in dance, body conditioning and movement education has shaped a holistic and inclusive approach to both teaching and creating choreographies.

Throughout my career, one belief has remained constant: dance is not only something we do—it is a way of expressing ourselves, connecting with others and discovering new possibilities through movement.
